This year the Kapa Haka Performance Group have been performing our new school waiata - Te Korowai. The rest of the school have begun to learn it as part of their Kapa Haka lessons.
The waiata was written by our Kapa Haka tutor, Matua Whaitiri, with some musical input from Mr Mills. The lyrics emerged from consultation with the 2016 Kapa Haka Performance Group, staff and brainstorms at a whanau night last year. They make reference to the school as a community, the potential of our tamariki and some of our school values.
