Information
We cater for children from Year 1 to Year 6 (ages 5 to 11). There are around 470 students currently enrolled.
Because of roll pressures, the school has an
enrolment scheme which governs the admission of children to the school. The school is currently considering enrolments
from out of zone students.
The Education Review Office (ERO) reviewed the school in 2008 and the full report is available.
An information booklet can be downloaded from here.
School Hours are from 9.00am to 3.00pm daily. The lunch hour is between 12.50pm and 1.45pm.School Term information is available from the Ministry of Education's website.
Daily attendance is expected, unless the student is sick. Parents are requested to phone the school office before 9.00am if children are away. If we are not contacted, we will phone you to check.
Healthy lunches must be provided by parents for their own children. On Fridays only, lunches from the local bakery can be ordered (refer this price list) through the school.
After School and Before School Care is provided as a service for our school families. This is a chargeable service, run by the YMCA, and is available until 5.30pm daily. Contact the office or the YMCA (527 3380) for further details.
Newsletters are sent out regularly by teams, classes and the school. The school newsletter is distributed every forthnight. You can download copies of the current and past issues of the school newsletter from the newsletter page of this site.
Active communication between parents and staff is encouraged. Be proactive and meet or phone your child's teacher on a regular basis, or pop in to the classroom if there are any concerns.
