Homework Challenges
This year Silverstream Middle and Senior Teams are trialling a new homework system. The new system has been developed after researching homework and its effectiveness and is based on a model developed by Windsor School in Christchurch.
Students are set a variety of challenges with a family, social, personal or community focus. They are to organise their own time-management in order achieve these challenges, with the aim that they have completed a certain number by the end of the year.
The homework challenges do not replace other elements of homework, particularly reading and basic facts.
