Silverstream School – delivering quality education
to all our students.
|Welcome to the Silverstream School website.|
We invite you to look through our 'pages' to find out about the learning at Silverstream School.
Our School vision of developing 'learners motivated to achieve and succeed' is enabled through preparing our children for living in the rapid change of the twenty-first century. We achieve this by blending the traditional values of the school's past with up to date innovation and effective classroom practice.
Our website pages show and describe our learning, our focus, our wonderful children, the staff and our community.
It was wondeful to see so many of you at our Open Evening in February. Please read the attached eLearning Strategic Plan - we welcome your feedback!

Congratulations to all our children who performed so well in the Inter-school Cross County. The outstanding results our children/ school achieved was due to the committment of staff, parents and children. Click here to see all the results
Buddy Day… Year 4’s as Official ‘Creators’
Our Year 4 classes have signed up the be part of ‘Buddy Day’ – a programme run by ‘Child Matters’. The key idea behind this initiative is that ‘it takes a community to look after a child’.
As creators, our Year 4’s will transform plastic outlined ‘buddies’ into unique children. Each class has adopted 5 buddies to decorate, colour, dress and design as they choose. They will be creating a story that goes with each of their buddies to help bring them to life. On the 11th and 12th of November a ‘Buddy Courier’ collect each of the buddies and take them to a ‘carer’ in the community for Buddy Day on the 15th of November. The carer will share each of the buddy’s stories with others and ensure that they have fun and are well cared for.
This is an exciting learning opportunity for our students. Their work will be out in the community, appreciated by members of the public.
We will keep you posted about our Buddy Day updates.
